Continuing his humanitarian service provision to the people of Imo State especially the most vulnerable amongst us during the Yuletide celebration with food items and cash gifts has now added healthcare insurance provision to the people which are the basic amenities for a comfortable living.
Chief Jerry Chukwueke Ohamadike Nde Owerre, a great philanthropist with a heart flowing with milk and honey as described by various women leaders during the Yuletide largesse has once again demonstrated that out of politics, people can still provide succor and happiness by sponsoring the commencement of free NHIS registration exercise for residents of Awaka and Ihitta in Owerri North Area of Imo State.
Chief Chukwueke who made this humanitarian commitment in his Awaka country home while hosting his Age-Grades (Ndi Ebiri) to a new year celebration said nobody created by God can perform optimally without a sound and healthy body.
Ohamadike thanked His Excellency President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for sustainable NHIS which is one of the best legacy, he posited that His Excellency Governor Hope Uzodimma should be praised for localizing the exercise by getting it to the community and making Imo ranked as number ONE in the country in NHIS delivery and management.
Speaking at the commencement of the exercise is the honourable Commissioner for Health Imo State, Dr. Prosper-Ohayagha Success KSC On behalf of my team, which includes Dr. Uchenna Ewelike, Executive Secretary of NHIS in the State thanked Ohamadike immensely for the opportunity given to them to talk to the Awaka community about the Imocare program.
He promised to uphold their commitment to bring healthcare to the doorsteps of Imolites in their respective communities.
The Honourable commissioner prayed for God's grace in all Ohamadike endeavors, that his kind heart will make way for him.
He concluded by assuring the Awaka community that he will resuscitate Awaka Primary Health Center within a short while and urging the people to guard the facility jealousyly when resuscitated.
Chief Chukwueke in his response thanked the Honourable commissioner and the Executive Secretary immensely for their strong commitment to healthcare delivery to Imo people and assured to always stand with them.
On securing the Primary Health Center when resuscitated, Ohamadike again volunteered to be paying the security men that will guard the facility.
"Once we sort Awaka people, we will look to expand to more communities across Imo" Ohamadike concluded.
The President of the Age Grade Chief Everest Opara, on behalf of Awaka people thanked Ohamadike and lamented how difficult it has been with accessing the healthcare system in the area and promised to make the people within this area utilize this opportunity.
